A Letter from My Desk

August 2026

Dear beloved reader,

Thank you so much for signing up for my newsletter! Welcome. Grab a cozy drink and let's chat about my books. I am so glad you found your way to my reader's community.

The five years since publishing my first book, The Porcelain Doll, have been filled with valuable writing and learning experiences. Thank you to everyone who supported this journey. I'm excited for you to read it.

I finished writing the book pretty quickly, but editing and getting it ready for publication took much longer. After that, I was intimidated by the task of creating my own website. I couldn't find an affordable offer, and I never thought I could create it on my own.

I kept putting off the task because something else always seemed more urgent. One morning, I woke up with new ideas. After that, GoDaddy helped me bring them to life, which is why you can read this letter now.

But let's get back to The Porcelain Doll.

The eBook is only $2.99. If you want to read the book and write a review but the price is a concern, please email me. I'll find a way to make it easier for you.

The genre of the book

  • Romance
  • Historical fiction, featuring Germany and Bulgaria starting from the late 60s and early 80s
  • Cultural fiction — you can read about some Bulgarian traditions and customs
  • Women's fiction — women are the heart of my story

What to expect in the book

  • Family stories
  • Young romance
  • Traveling
  • Heartbreak

I tell stories about strong, resilient women who face challenges and overcome obstacles as they search for their own paths in life. My characters often confront difficult situations, question expectations, and ultimately find the courage to define their own identities and futures.

When I'm not typing away at my laptop, you can usually find me in my kitchen cooking or baking my latest creation. Or in my garden, where I get bolder with every new flower or vegetable blooming. On the weekends, I take long walks on the beach and enjoy Florida's sun.

Nice chatting.

Best regards,

Desislava Kaludova
